Your basic in-class participation score (7.5 points) is
based on the following criteria: interaction with other students in English,
attentiveness and preparedness. For example, if you sleep for an entire class,
you will lose 1 point. Your basic in-class participation score is
calculated by multiplying your raw basic in-class participation score by the
proportion of classes that you actually attended.
Other examples of things you are not
good participation:
not engaging
all other students in the class
making no
attempt to communicate in English
using your
cell-phone during class time
talking
while the teacher is talking
leaving the
class repeatedly during class time
not bringing
the student book to class
not
completing the homework activities from the book
The second part of your in-class
participation (2.5 points) is based on your contributions in class. For
example, if you never answer any questions or ask any questions in front of the
class, you will not earn points for contributions.
A further 5 points of your
participation score is based on two Kakao Talk group discussions. Each Kakao
Talk group discussion will last for a week. To earn full points, you need to
contribution one meaningful on-topic message a day (excluding weekends and
public holidays).
